MPP Announces New In-line Small Washer

WILLOUGHBY, OH: MPP has developed the MTS (Mini Tunnel Sonics), an innovative in-line small parts cleaner which uses the Power Sonics radial Ultrasonics technology. Radial ultrasonic utilizes powerful magnetostrictive elements arranged on the circumference of a cylinder to focus the ultrasonic energy inside the cylinder creating very high energy densities. The high energy densities provide the mechanical agitation necessary to provide thorough cleaning in a very short time thus allowing in-line cleaning in a small footprint.

The MTS is designed with a small mesh belt conveyor to receive parts from a continuous process (screw machine, etc.) and transport them through the ultrasonic wash, spray wash, blow off, rinse, and final blow off. Optionally a pre-wash stage, second rinse (or rust protector) and dryers are available for the base unit. The MTS is available with several radial transducer sizes and total ultrasonic power. The reservoir is constructed with polypropylene with an option for stainless steel. The base system is compact (40. wide x 75. long) to allow for placing in-line.

The MTS was developed by MPP (Magnus Equipment and Power Sonics) and uses the strengths and experience of both groups in the design.
